Opposite to the standard air-con appliances, the air con heating units are now in trend and getting popular day by day. These units reverse the refrigeration procedure and are designed to produce heating instead of cooling in the home or building where it is installed. They are also known as reverse cycle air conditioners or heat pumps. People are using these units as they are more efficient than electric resistance heating devices and units. Heat pumps are used to save energy as these use less energy to work.
Air Con Heating
Moreover, air conditioner heaters are used as a part of the central air-con units that have featured a heat pump and are used in the cold seasons. These units have a valve that allows the users to switch between the air conditioner and heater.
Therefore, when the valve is enabled to turn on the air conditioner unit, then the heating pump operates as an air-con unit, and when the valve is switched to the other way, then the heater reverses the refrigeration process and acts as a heater. The heater conditioner installed inside the aircon unit allows the evaporator coil to change into the condenser coil and start producing heat.
On the other hand, when it comes to turning on the cooling unit, the outdoor condenser will then turn to the evaporator and start producing cold air. In this way, both units in one air con system work and change from one unit to another on the requirement of a user.
Furthermore, the heating units consist of a series of tubes that get the energy and power from the heating pump, which is called a compressor. The working fluid inside the unit, known as refrigerant, gets compressed in small spaces and gets heated up.
This heated fluid then goes through a series of long coils, referred to as a condenser. In this part of the aircon unit, the heat slowly leaks out into the air. This part of the whole process is also the same in the cooling unit.
After this, air goes out via a small nozzle into another part called the evaporator, where it gets cool and has low pressure. And when it comes to the heating unit, it goes through the evaporator where it gets warmed. This is the entire process of an air con heating unit that gives you hot air in the colder season, and the same unit gives you cold air in the hot season.
